Abstrakt: Researchers at Tanta University in Egypt have published a study on sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) using an advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technique called diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). The study aimed to assess the microstructural integrity of the auditory neural pathway in SNHL patients with or without tinnitus. The results showed that SNHL is associated with white matter microstructure changes, and the presence of tinnitus is associated with limbic system affection. This research provides valuable insights into the understanding of SNHL and its related conditions. [Extracted from the article]
