Abstrakt: A study conducted at the University Medical Centre Maribor in Slovenia aimed to find a suitable replacement for the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio in the Liverpool score, which predicts the survival of patients undergoing surgical therapy for colorectal liver metastases. The researchers ranked variables associated with the Liverpool score, such as C-reactive protein, albumins, and fibrinogen, using different methodologies. The rankings consistently placed elevated C-reactive protein as a relevant replacement for the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio. The study suggests that these ranking methods can be used in similar medical research models. [Extracted from the article]
