Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Stanford University examined the trends in outcome metrics in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) research. The study found that there has been an increased focus on neurologic outcomes since the publication of new guidelines in 2018. While survival outcomes are still commonly used, there is a trend towards fewer studies with return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) as a primary outcome. The study also highlighted the need for more research with patient-centered outcomes to inform guidelines for cardiac arrest management. [Extracted from the article]
