Abstrakt: A study conducted by the L.V. Prasad Eye Institute in Odisha, India, examined cases of central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO) in pediatric patients following blunt ocular trauma. The study analyzed the medical charts of 11 patients, all males with an average age of 14.3 years. The researchers found that CRAO was a significant cause of visual loss in children after blunt trauma, with reflex vasospasm being the most common cause. Early onset disk pallor may indicate compromised retinal and optic disk circulation. [Extracted from the article]
