Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at Benha University in Egypt has found that estimated levels of glycated albumin (GA%) in blood samples taken during the 6th-8th week of pregnancy can predict the development of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). The study involved 402 women who were evaluated and underwent blood tests, and it was found that high levels of GA% were a significant positive predictor for GDM. The researchers concluded that estimating GA% during early pregnancy could be a useful tool for identifying women at risk of developing GDM. [Extracted from the article]
