A recent study conducted in Lima, Peru examined the association between knowledge and attitudes towards pediatric obstructive sleep apnea (POSA) and dental specialty. The study surveyed 210 orthodontists and pediatric dentists using a questionnaire and found that orthodontists were less likely to have acceptable knowledge about POSA compared to pediatric dentists. The study also revealed that attitudes were associated with age, clinical experience, and sector of practice. The research concluded that knowledge was associated with the dental specialty of professionals in the sample, while attitudes were not. This study provides valuable insights into the relationship between dental specialty and knowledge about POSA in the context of pediatric dentistry. [Extracted from the article] |
