Abstrakt: A study conducted at the University of Campinas in Brazil has explored the development of bioactive textile coatings for polypropylene masks to enhance their effectiveness in reducing virus transmission. The researchers coated the masks with organic antimicrobial agents and copper salts, which significantly reduced viral titer and inhibited the virus's activity. The presence of copper ions further enhanced the virucidal effect of the coating. The study concluded that this hybrid coating could rapidly inactivate the virus and improve protection against viral infections. [Extracted from the article]
