A new report from researchers at Universitas Muhammadiyah Pontianak in Indonesia examines the risk factors for severe stunting among children aged 2 to 5 years old in Pontianak City. The study found that 75.98% of children in the sample were stunted, with 24.20% classified as severely stunted. Low birth weight and birth interval were identified as significant factors associated with severe stunting, while other variables did not show a correlation.
