Abstrakt:	Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have conducted the first quantum simulation of a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrum using a trapped-ion quantum computer. This breakthrough could have significant implications for extracting information about molecular structure and optimizing experimental protocols. The researchers were able to reduce the sampling cost of the quantum simulation using compressed sensing techniques. This work demonstrates a practical application for quantum computation and opens the door for efficiently simulating solid-state NMR experiments on more mature quantum devices.
