A report from researchers at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences discusses the challenges of trogocytosis in chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) NK and T cell therapy for cancer treatment. Trogocytosis involves the exchange of membrane fragments between cells and can negatively impact the efficacy of CAR NK/T cell therapy. The report explores the effects of trogocytosis on cell activation, cytotoxicity, and antigen presentation, as well as strategies to overcome its limitations. By addressing trogocytosis-related issues, it may be possible to enhance the effectiveness of CAR NK/T therapy against cancer. [Extracted from the article] |
