This article examines the relationship between feeding intolerance (FI) and intestinal dysbiosis in very premature infants in Indonesia. The researchers hypothesized that dysbiosis could contribute to FI, but the study did not find a significant association between the two. However, there were slight differences in the levels of certain bacteria between infants with and without FI. The study also suggests that factors like cesarean section delivery and antibiotic use may influence the composition of the microbiota in infants with dysbiosis. Further research is needed to fully understand the causes of FI in premature infants. [Extracted from the article] |
