Discusses the use of etanercept and carbon dioxide laser to treat recalcitrant pemphigus vulgaris and pemphigus vegetans. Case report of a 26-year-old woman presented with a five-month history of painful oral erosions and a one-month history of widespread flaccid vesicles over her face and torso; Therapeutic effect of etanercept; Suggestion that vegetative lesions of pemphigus vegetans may not respond to etanercept therapy but can be treated with carbon dioxide laser. |
