Abstrakt: In this work, the effect of adding 0.2% and 0.5% Ag on the structure and mechanical properties of 316L steel plates was studied. Smelting and homogenization annealing was carried out in a vacuum furnace. Plates 1±0.1 mm thick were obtained by warm rolling. The structure and mechanical properties of the plates have been studied. The results show that silver does not affect the formation of the austenitic structure. The addition of 0.2% Ag does not affect the strength, elongation and microhardness of the steel, and the addition of 0.5% Ag slightly reduces the strength of the steel. All plate samples comply with the mechanical characteristics according to the ASTM A240 standard. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
