Abstrakt: The influence of sintering temperature in argon medium at 1273, 1473 K and in vacuum at 1573, 1673 K was investigated. The sintering time was 3 hours. The powder mixture of nominal composition was obtained from elemental powders by mechanical mixing and mechanical alloying for 5 hours. Cold pressing was performed at a pressure of 600 MPa. Density was estimated by hydrostatic weighing, and hardness was evaluated by the Rockwell method. It was found that a maximum density of 8.21 ± 0.01 g/cm3 and a hardness of 78 ± 1 HRA were achieved for the powder mixture after 5 hours of mechanical alloying and vacuum sintering. The sample was remelted at a sintering temperature of 1673 K. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
