Abstrakt: This article examines the association between Medical Assistant (MA) virtual rooming and the electronic health record (EHR) capture of vital signs and health behaviors in patients with diabetes during telemedicine visits. The study, conducted in a large integrated healthcare system, found that video visits with MA virtual rooming had higher rates of EHR-documented vital signs and health behaviors compared to visits without virtual rooming. However, overall documentation rates for vital signs like weight and blood pressure were lower, suggesting the need for additional outreach or remote monitoring. The findings support the role of MA virtual rooming in providing virtual care for patients with chronic conditions. [Extracted from the article]
