Abstrakt:	The article offers information on the persistent perinatal complications associated with maternal diabetes, focusing on the risks for offspring of women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Topics include the global prevalence of GDM and type 2 diabetes, the importance of screening and managing these conditions, and a case report illustrating the consequences of inadequate diabetes screening in a pregnant woman, leading to neonatal complications.
