Pure Cu foils are used as an intermediate layer, and transient liquid phase diffusion bonding (TLP) technology is used to connect 2195 Al-Li alloys. The effects of different welding temperatures on the microstructure, elemental diffusion and mechanical properties of Al-Li alloy TLP joints were investigated. The results show that the welding temperature has a significant effect on the performance of the joint. As the welding temperature increases, the diffusion becomes more uniform and the joint structure is also more uniform. However, coarse grains appear in the weld area. The type of phases has little effect, as the welding temperature increases, the overall microhardness shows a downward trend, and the shear strength first rises and then declines. When the welding temperature is 570 °, the shear strength is the largest, about is 108.6 MPa. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
