| Abstrakt: |
The article reports on indications for pacing in patients with chronic bifascicular block. Various methods have been used to study patients with bifascicular block in an attempt to forecast which patients are in imminent danger of progression to advanced or complete atrioventricular block. Atrial pacing has been used in an attempt to stress the remaining fascicle, using the concept that a diseased or poorly functioning fascicle would show abnormal conduction under the stress of increased heart rate. |
