Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found that some tattoo and permanent makeup inks in the United States continue to be contaminated with microorganisms. The study analyzed voluntary recall records from the FDA and conducted a microbiological survey of new batches of tattoo inks from manufacturers with a recall history. The results showed that six out of 28 tattoo inks were contaminated with bacteria, with levels of contamination ranging from less than 250 CFU/g to between 1 x 103 and 1 x 105 CFU/g. The study highlights the importance of ongoing monitoring and quality control of tattoo ink products. [Extracted from the article]
