Researchers from Islamic Azad University in Najafabad, Iran, conducted a case study to investigate the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in enhancing perceived social support and life expectancy among caregivers of patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The study used a semi-experimental design with a single-subject design and included ten measurements. The results showed that ACT was effective in improving perceived social support and life expectancy of caregivers of ALS patients. This research suggests that ACT could be a valuable intervention for caregivers facing the challenges of caring for ALS patients. [Extracted from the article] |
