Abstrakt: | A study conducted by King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia found that pediatric residents in the country lack sufficient knowledge and training in breastfeeding care. The study surveyed 253 residents and found that their average knowledge score was below the threshold for good knowledge. While most residents agreed that promoting breastfeeding is part of their role, many did not meet with mothers before birth to discuss breastfeeding. The study suggests that there is a need to improve breastfeeding curricula in pediatric residency programs to enhance consultation and management of breastfeeding. [Extracted from the article] |
