A study conducted by researchers at Iran University for Medical Sciences in Tehran investigated the effects of two substances, Q10 and catharanthine, on liver cancer cells. The study aimed to determine the potential of these substances in modulating the Nrf2-Keap1 pathway, which is involved in cancer cell survival. The results showed that both Q10 and catharanthine had antioxidant and apoptotic properties, but Q10 was more effective in inducing apoptosis, countering drug resistance, and inhibiting metastasis in liver cancer cells. This research provides new insights into potential treatments for liver cancer. [Extracted from the article] |
