Researchers at Zagazig University in Egypt have conducted a study on colon cancer, which is a leading cause of death worldwide. The study aimed to identify markers that could predict the prognosis of the disease. The researchers assessed the expression of three proteins, PD-L1, Beclin 1, and Fascin 1, in colorectal cancer tissues and found that their expression was significantly associated with adverse prognostic factors. The study concluded that PD-L1 and Fascin 1 expression could be used to identify high-risk patients who would benefit the most from treatment. [Extracted from the article] |
