A recent study conducted by researchers at Kerman University of Medical Sciences in Iran has focused on the establishment and implementation of a registry for hydatid disease, also known as cystic echinococcosis (CE). Hydatid disease is a tropical disease that poses a significant public health concern and economic burden in endemic regions. The registry, called HydatidReg, was initially established in 2014 as a single-center registry and later expanded to a nationwide registry in 2016.
