Abstrakt: A study conducted by researchers at the School of Health Sciences in Colombia examined the perioperative management of patients with hip fractures. The study included 235 patients, with 57% being male and a mean age of 79 years. The most common technique used for surgical management was spinal anesthesia. The study found that delirium occurred in 17.9% of patients and acute kidney failure in 6.8%. The researchers concluded that the study provides valuable information for identifying areas of improvement, such as reducing the time to surgical management and developing care protocols in the region.
