The sleeping posture affects not just the quality of a human's sleep, but also inculcates limb pain, neck pain, and back pain. And the sleeping posture degrades the quality of the bed utilized thus declining the lifetime of the bed. In this paper, the Ergonomic assessment of a human manikin in various sleeping postures in a foamless nylon stripped steel bed is discussed and the compression and elasticity factors of the bed without making it uncomfortable to the user is analyzed with the help of computer software such as DELMIA and Ansys.
