Abstrakt: This work aims to synthesize of silicon nitride(Si3N4)/polyethylene- glycol(PEG)/ poly-methyl methacrylate(PMMA) nanostructures as a future nanomaterials to utilize in the promising applications of optics, nanoelectronics and photonics fields. The morphological and optical characteristics of Si3N4/PEG/PMMA nanostructures were studied. The morphological characteristics included FE-SEM and optical microscope(OM). The optical properties were recorded at wavelength(λ) ranged from 240 nm to 840 nm. The results showed that the absorption(A) of PEG/PMMA blend at λ = 540 nm increased about 24.2% and transmission(T) reduced about 19.6% when the Si3N4 NPs ratio reached 6.4 wt.%, this performance make it appropriate for various optical fields. The energy gap(Eg) of PEG/PMMA blend decreased from 3.43 eV to 3.16 eV when the Si3N4 NPs content reached 6.4 wt.%, this effect made the Si3N4/PEG/PMMA nanostructures to consider as key for optical and optoelectronics nanodevices. The optical constants of values like refractive index, optical conductivity and dielectric constants of PEG/PMMA blend enhanced with rise in the Si3N4 NPs content. Finally, obtained results indicated that the Si3N4/PEG/PMMA nanostructures have excellent optical characteristics lead to make it can be useful in promising optics and electronics applications with low cost, flexible, good physical and chemical properties compared of other nanomaterials.
