The article analyzes the kitchen sink (KS) dramas "Quinceañera" directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland and "A Taste of Honey" directed by Tony Richardson. Topics discussed include the exploration of the issue of the gentrification of a Hispanic American working-class neighborhood in "Quinceañera," the revision of KS techniques to create an ideological dimensions of GLBT space, and the focus of "A Taste of Honey" on individualism and the subject of capitalist oppression. |
