Abstrakt: This editorial discusses the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and the ethical and practical challenges they present for social welfare. It explores the question of how to apply ethics and values in situations of ideological, religious, and political differences that can lead to oppression and violence. The journal also examines the extent to which social professions' values reflect a Western perspective and may neglect the values and interests of under-resourced areas and indigenous peoples. The issue includes papers on trauma-informed social work, the inclusion of diverse religious communities in youth work training, negative attitudes towards LGBTQ individuals in healthcare, and post-traumatic growth among survivors of mass violence. The journal also features two papers in the Ethics in Practice section, one reflecting on the experience of asking for help as a mental health patient and the other discussing ethical issues in researching migrant street children in Delhi.
