Abstrakt:	A recent study conducted at University Hospital in Munich, Germany, explored the expression of galectin-10 in the placentas of women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Galectins are proteins involved in immunoregulatory processes and autoimmune diseases. The study found that there was an overexpression of galectin-10 in the placentas of women with GDM compared to healthy mothers. This research contributes to a better understanding of gestational diabetes and suggests that galectin-10 may play a role in its development and maintenance.
