Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at NITTE (Deemed to be University) in Karnataka, India, examined the effect of using an ice pack on pain and activities of daily living (ADL) after episiotomy, a common surgical procedure during childbirth. The study found that applying an ice pack once daily for two days significantly reduced pain after episiotomy. However, it did not improve ADL in patients. The research suggests that using an ice pack can be a safe and feasible non-pharmacological treatment for pain relief in post-episiotomy patients. [Extracted from the article]
