Abstrakt: A study conducted at the Medical University of Lublin in Poland explored the potential of imperatorin, a naturally occurring furocoumarin, in reducing symptoms of overactive bladder (OAB). The study involved 60 rats and found that imperatorin attenuated the severity of OAB induced by retinyl acetate. It also reversed certain biochemical changes associated with OAB. The researchers concluded that imperatorin may have a mitigating effect on detrusor overactivity and could be a potential therapeutic strategy for OAB treatment. Further research is needed to fully understand the mechanisms of action of imperatorin in the bladder. [Extracted from the article]
