Abstrakt: This article is a meta-analysis and trial sequential analysis that evaluates the risk of bone fractures in patients with atopic dermatitis (AD). The study includes four high-quality studies from different regions, with a total of 409,366 AD patients and 1,704,553 control subjects. The analysis shows that AD patients have an elevated risk of bone fractures compared to non-AD control subjects, with a risk ratio of 1.10. The study suggests that clinicians should be aware of the increased fracture risk in AD patients and further research is needed to understand the mechanisms behind this association.
