Abstrakt: This document provides a detailed account of the synthesis and biological evaluation of several 2,6-disubstituted tetrahydropyran-containing natural products. These compounds have been found to possess various biological activities, such as antitumor, embryotoxic, teratogenic, antimalarial, antifungal, and cytotoxic properties. The synthetic samples of these compounds did not exhibit significant cytotoxicity or anti-inflammation activity in tested cell lines. However, they were found to stimulate lipid accumulation and expression of the adipocyte marker gene Fabp4, suggesting a potential role in metabolic diseases through regulating adipogenesis. The document also includes information on the synthesis and characterization of other compounds and acknowledges Dr. Shuang Peng for HRMS measurements. [Extracted from the article]
