This article presents the findings of a cross-sectional study conducted in India that examined the relationship between body fat percentage and phase angle (PhA) in young adults. The study discovered that as body fat percentage increased, the PhA, which is an indicator of cell health, decreased. This decrease was more pronounced in males than females. The study suggests that measuring PhA using a bioelectric impedance analyzer could be a valuable screening tool for identifying individuals at risk for obesity-related diseases.
