Abstrakt: Aquagenic keratoderma (AK) is a rare condition that primarily affects young women. It is characterized by transient, translucent, confluent papules on the palms and soles that appear within 5 minutes of water contact and disappear within 1 hour. While usually asymptomatic, AK can be associated with tingling, pain, burning, or itching. The most common comorbidities are hyperhidrosis and cystic fibrosis (CF). Treatment options include topical medications, botulinum toxin injections, and surgical interventions. This article presents three case reports of AK and discusses its association with CF. The authors suggest that Ivacaftor, a drug that improves ion transport, may be a promising treatment for AK in CF patients. [Extracted from the article]
