This article discusses various topics related to dental trauma and sports dentistry. It highlights the low knowledge of athletes and coaches regarding oral health and the increased risk of carious lesions and oral trauma in athletes. The article also discusses the development of screening protocols and standardized records for dental examinations and treatment of traumatic dental injuries. Additionally, it explores the incidence and characteristics of head, neck, and dental injuries in nonprofessional football players, the use of mouthguards in sports, the consequences of scooter usage on maxillofacial injuries, the association between mandibular third molar position and condylar fracture patterns, and the treatment modalities for mandibular condylar fractures. Furthermore, it examines the effect of dental splint removal on enamel damage, the biomechanical behavior of teeth with external invasive cervical resorption, the management of tooth avulsion, the impact of different educational formats on dental trauma education, and the methodological quality of systematic reviews on traumatic dental injuries.
