Abstrakt: A clinical trial, NCT06101368, is currently underway to investigate the impact of physical activity on neurogenesis in individuals with peripheral diabetic neuropathy type-II diabetes. Diabetic peripheral neuropathy is a common condition that greatly affects patients' quality of life, and exercise has been shown to promote neurogenesis and improve cognitive function and mood. The study aims to enhance peripheral neurogenesis, glycemic control, and sensory functions, ultimately improving the overall quality of life for participants. The trial involves participant recruitment, randomization into treatment and control groups, baseline assessments, and a 12-week intervention for the treatment group, which includes aerobic exercise and resistance training. The control group will continue their regular medication. The study is currently in the recruitment phase and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2025. The eligibility criteria for participants are outlined, including age, symptoms, and medical conditions. The study is registered under NCT Number NCT06101368 and is being conducted by the Health Education Research Foundation. [Extracted from the article]
