Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at the University of Maryland has provided new information about mental health diseases and conditions, specifically focusing on the resettlement of Rohingya unaccompanied refugee minors in the United States. The study found that foster care programs faced challenges in welcoming Rohingya youth, including difficulties in securing interpretation services, providing adequate training to staff and foster parents, and delivering mental health services. The research suggests recommendations and best practices for nonprofit management and preparation for future resettlement of new refugee populations. Collaboration with resettlement support centers, URM programs, and researchers is recommended to improve cultural orientation and support for refugee youth. [Extracted from the article]
