Abstrakt: | A recent study conducted at Qilu Hospital of Shandong University in China explored the efficacy of combining diallyl trisulfide (DATS) with cisplatin (DDP) for the treatment of gastric cancer. The researchers used network pharmacology to predict the pharmacological mechanism of this combination therapy. They found that the combination of DATS and DDP significantly increased cytotoxicity and cell apoptosis in gastric cancer cells. Additionally, the combination therapy enhanced antitumor activity by regulating endoplasmic reticulum stress and inhibiting STAT3/PKC-d and MAPK signaling pathways. This study suggests that DATS and DDP could be a promising adjuvant strategy for the treatment of gastric cancer. [Extracted from the article] |
