Abstrakt: Researchers at Tongji University have published a study on the effects of resveratrol on pterygium, a condition characterized by the growth of tissue on the eye's surface. Resveratrol, a compound found in plants, was found to have anti-fibrotic effects in human pterygium fibroblasts (HPFs). The study showed that resveratrol inhibited the activation of myofibroblasts and the synthesis of extracellular matrix in HPFs by regulating certain signaling pathways. This research provides insights into potential treatments for pterygium. [Extracted from the article]
