Abstrakt: This article discusses a retrospective study conducted on 130 patients diagnosed with erosive lichen planus (LP) to evaluate the prevalence of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and intraepithelial neoplasia. The majority of patients were females, and the most prevalent locations of lesions were the buccal mucosa, gums, and genitalia. The study identified three cases of SCC or intraepithelial neoplasia, all of which occurred on the lower lips. The article highlights the potentially malignant nature of erosive LP and the need for frequent follow-up in these patients. [Extracted from the article]
