This study focuses on only small-scale businesses in the automotive industry to provide a detailed overview on choosing the correct project management tool based on their scope of work, applying multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) techniques for supplier selection and product comparison, breaking the scope of work into functional units using work breakdown structure (WBS) and generating appropriate analytics to set the context for project successes. It is found through this study that ClickUp is the best project management tool with customisable interface and data reports which provide to-the-point insights. As far as decision-making is concerned, AHP combined with SAW has offered promising results, and WBS helped the entire work organisation to yield better results and higher work satisfaction amongst team members. In conclusion, it is observed that project management plays a substantial role in small-scale businesses falling under the automotive industry, which can help the business owners to increase their quality, efficiency and, thereby, profits.
