Abstrakt: This article describes the results of the authors' work on the operating parameters of pin crushers of organic materials. The results of research on the grinding process and worn and damaged drive system components after the system has been discontinued are presented. During the grinding process, vibrations of the grinding system were tested and their significant variability over time was indicated. After the shredder's life cycle, the damaged drive components were examined, assessing their condition and the causes of degradation. The research raises the issue of the safety of the anthropo-technical system, in this case, the facility itself & its direct operators. The process of using the machine must ensure that the economic efficiency of the task is met. Therefore, in this case, the impact on the environment & people is of secondary importance. This paper presents the results of the research on the metallographic microsection of the bearing elements, with not only external form changes; but also some structure components that presented significant differences in their reflection coefficients. As a result of the study of the structure, process and parameters of the former, a model of operation was developed indicating the parameters that significantly affect the course of the process and the observed wear of the grinding system.
