Abstrakt: This investigation focuses on how MR dampers can be integrated into railway suspension systems to improve travel quality for passengers. Because it uses the characteristics of MR fluid to dampen tremors, this setup is considered a semi-active suspension. Over the last few decades, MR fluid technology has advanced significantly. With the invention of MR fluid–based devices, particularly MR fluid dampers, the use of MR fluid has vast development in different segments of engineering and life science. In the high speed trains the body will have lot of vibrations due lo vertical displacement, pitch and yaw moments. These vibrations are passed on to the passengers and affect the comfort in ride. We developed equations for motion of complete suspension system for both semi-active and passive system. The research of the passive suspension system reveals that vibrations takes longer time to die out along with higher vibration transmissibility. The results suggest that adding MR dampers to the primary suspension system of a train improves overall ride performance and comfort. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
