A recent report from Istanbul, Turkey discusses the relationship between rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and cardiovascular disease. The study found that patients with RA had prolonged Tp-e interval and increased Tp-e/QT ratio, which are markers of proarrhythmic ventricular electrophysiological remodeling. These findings suggest that RA may contribute to an increased risk of ventricular arrhythmias. The study highlights the importance of understanding the underlying mechanisms of cardiovascular complications in patients with RA. [Extracted from the article] |
