This article discusses the impact of image guidance technologies, such as radiotracers and the DROP-IN gamma probe, on robot-assisted surgery for urologic interventions. The authors emphasize the importance of understanding how these technologies affect surgical decision making by examining the relationship between perception and action. The use of artificial intelligence-supported probe tracking allows for a direct analysis of the sensory feedback provided by the DROP-IN system.
