In a laboratory, the spreading of a liquid film over polymer plates with various sizes of microdimensions was studied. The results suggested that the profile height affects the surface wettability. This study presents both a qualitative and quantitative comparison of the degree of wettability of the plates under consideration. It was revealed that a plate with a height of 0.5 mm had better wettability compared to that of a smooth plate at all values of irrigation density. At the same time, a plate with a profile height t = 1.2 mm was wetted better than a smooth sample at an irrigation density of U = 0.61 m3/(m·h). At irrigation densities above U = 0.78 m3/(m·h), the degree of wettability of this sample was found to be the highest. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
