The article discusses research published in the 2021 issue of the "International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health" which evaluated the use of short dental implants compared to standard dental implants. The research reviewed studies on short implants and standard-length implants placed in augmented and nonaugmented edentulous sites, short implant survival, stability and marginal bone levels, and implants placed in the posterior maxilla and in medically compromised patients. |
