Abstrakt: The article discusses the future directions of the Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) Program, which aims to provide feedback to clinical sites that serve as learning environments for resident and fellow physicians. The program has led to improvements in areas such as patient safety and has stimulated connections between GME leaders and executive leaders of clinical sites. The CLER Program is now being redesigned into a new Clinical Learning Environment (CLE) Program, which will include a national site visit program, a CLE Toolkit for Formative Assessment, a CLE Quadruple Aim initiative, and other resources. The program will expand its reach and provide tools and opportunities to optimize the learning environment. The article discusses a new initiative called the CLE Quadruple Aim, which aims to improve the clinical learning environments (CLEs) of ACGME-accredited Sponsoring Institutions. The initiative involves executive leaders of CLEs identifying specific challenges and using GME insights to design and test new approaches to address them. The initiative will start with a small cohort of teams and will involve collaborative learning cycles over a 12-month period. The results and lessons learned from each cycle will be shared publicly. Additionally, the article mentions that resources will be curated and made available to the CLE/GME community, and opportunities for collaboration such as webinars and workshops will be provided. The goal of the initiative is to optimize CLEs for both learners and patients. [Extracted from the article]
